This coming Sunday (5/6), Mr. Kuangwu Sung, a teacher, parent, and active volunteer, will be talking to the community about how to navigate the maze of college application process. This seminar is open to all past and present BCS families and their friends. Whether your child is applying to colleges next year or in 10 years, you will learn something useful from Mr. Sung.

Seminar Outline:
1. Introduction: general topics in college application including "admission type", "timeline", "fee", "GPA/SAT/AP", "application form", "supplement form", "recommand letter", and "essay".
2. How to choose college.
3. Financial Aid.
4. Special tips.

Bring in your Reading Log and book reports on 12/18/11 for coupons to spin the Readers' Wheel of Fortune! If you have not kept up with reading, it's not too late. Read for 5 hours to get one coupon for spinning the wheel. (Each coupon for every 5 hours of reading!) Spin for great prizes including AMC gift cards! So, read on.

Reuse! 12/18 is our first Swap Day! -- Sponsored by BCS PTA.

• At 1:00 pm bring in something you no longer use, but someone else might want, such as video games, movies, CDs, books. A table will be set up in the cafeteria.
• If you have large items, take a picture of it. Write the description and contact information. It will be posted during the swap time.
• Browse the table for anything you want to take home. No need to bring something in to take something home.
• If you brought anything in and it wasn’t picked up, stop by at 3:45 and take it home. Any remaining items will be added in CSC’s next donation.

Students look forward to the opening of Chinese Store (5 times each year) when they can happily trade their hard-earned coupons (through class participation, attendance, and admirable academic effort) for favorite toys, stationary, or food.
