博根中文學校安全須知/Safety Rules and Regulations

1. 進入學校只有一個進口，就是面向Passaic Street籃球場的大門，此門將於12:30-1:15PM及3:45-4:05PM開啟，其他時間將上鎖，不允許進入只允許離開。基於安全理由， 如果在12:50PM前抵達，請進入餐廳等候上課鈴響。
2. 如果因為天氣狀況不佳需要停課，學校會在當天早上做出決定，並經由電話通知各班老師，老師將通知班媽，並再由班媽通知各家庭。如果您未在星期日當天早上11點前收到通知，就表示要上課。
3. 請勿在教室內食用任何飲料或點心。在下課休息時間未吃完之食品，請勿帶進教室。
4. 請勿任意動用教室內之任何物品，尤其是電腦及消防警鈴。桌椅可視教學需要移動，下課後請物歸原處。
5. 請勿在走廊上奔跑、嬉戲。
6. 請勿穿著暴露服裝到校

1. The only entrance to Hackensack Middle School is the door from the basketball courts opposite Passaic Street. This door will be locked at all times except 12:30-1:15PM and 3:45-4:05PM. During 1:15-3:45PM and after 4:05PM, only exit is allowed. For safety reasons, if you arrived before 12:50PM, please stay in the cafeteria.
2. In case of inclement weather condition, the administrative department will make decision on school closing on Sunday morning, then notify all teachers by phone, the teachers will then notify class parents and class parents will send the message to all families. If you didn’t receive any notification that the school is closed before 11:00AM on a school day, the school will remain open.
3. Eating and drinking are NOT permitted in the classroom. If students can’t finish their food during recess, please discard them before going back to the classroom.
4. Please respect HMS property and do not touch anything belonging to the classroom, especially the computers, & fire alarms, etc. If desks were moved for class needs, please return them to their original arrangement.
5. Running or playing in the hallway is not allowed.
6. Please dress appropriately for school. The length of students’ skirts, dresses, or shorts shouldn’t be shorter than five inches above their knees.

博根中文學校注意事項/General Information

1. 博根網頁: 學校各項重要活動或比賽, 比賽結果, 及學生作文等將刊登於上，請家長隨時上網查詢最新消息.
2. 家長值勤：為協助維護學校安全，家長有每學期值勤一次之義務，詳情請上網站查閱。
3. 班級媽媽：建議各班選出義務班媽一（或數）位，協助老師處理班務。

4. 中文商店: 由各班老師依照出席情況，每上課日出席∗者可獲15點，另依上課參與程度及繳交作業情況等發給單張點數作爲獎勵，每學期有兩次機會可至中文商店以累積點數兌換獎品。
5. 全勤獎: 全學年均未缺席者（請參考上課日 “出席”的定義），結業典禮時頒發全勤獎。

3. Class Parent: One (or more) volunteer per class is recommended to help the teacher in the classroom.
4. 
Chinese Store: Throughout the school year, the teachers may reward students with “shopping points” that can be used in the Chinese Store to exchange for toys, stationeries, book store gift cards, etc.
5. Perfect Attendance Award: Students with a perfect attendance for the year (i.e. all 30 school days are marked as ‘present’ – see definition of ‘present’ below) will receive an award at the end of the school year.
