Let's Read Chinese Everyday
Dear BCS Students & Parents, 
As we all know, the best way to learn a language is to use it regularly. To that end, BCS PTA is promoting a reading program called “Let’s Read Chinese Everyday” to encourage students to read Chinese on a daily basis.
Students will receive one (1) lottery ticket for every five(5) hours of reading to participate in the “Readers’ Wheel of Fortune” game, with a chance to win the grand prize. The game is hosted twice a year (during the Christmas assembly in December and the End-of-School year assembly in June) So, let’s get started !
Traditional track students are required to read Chinese books for this program; CSL track students may choose to read English books about Chinese language or culture. While Pre-K, K, E1 and CSL1, CSL2 students can be read to by their parents, all other students must read by themselves. For each book read, the student should fill out a book report page in Chinese. Pre-K, K, E1, CSL1, and CSL2 students can do the book reporta by drawing (parents can help with writing a caption). All other students must write the book report by themselves. (CSL students who read English books about Chinese culture may write the book report in English).
Start reading today! Your teachers will collect the reading log and reports and distribute lottery tickets on the day the Readers' Wheel of Fortune is played!

親愛的同學及家長們：
為了讓大家平日也可以用到中文，家長會要邀請大家一起來參加“中文天天讀”--來讀課本以外有趣的中文書！
每讀滿五小時就可以拿到一張特別的獎勵卡。有了這張獎勵卡，學生就可以在 一年兩次的〝幸運轉大點〞的遊戲中抽大獎。（第一次抽獎遊戲通常是聖誕節前一週及學年結束最後一週）趕快一起開始讀書吧！
傳統班以中文書為主，CSL班可以加入有關中國文化的英文書籍。娃娃、幼稚、小甲、CSL1，CSL2 可以由家人唸書給他們聽；其餘的學生要自己唸！每讀完一本書要寫一張報告。娃娃、幼稚、小甲、CSL1，CSL2可以用畫圖的方式來寫報告，請家長稍為註解；其餘的學生要依照讀書報告單來寫。(CSL 學生如讀英文書，也可以用英文寫讀書報告。）
今天就開始吧！抽獎當天，各班的導師會查收讀書紀錄和報告，並分發獎勵卡。
